Keeping cricket in the community
Canterbury Cricket’s organisational responsibility includes coordinating registration across all age groups, events, and promotion, and with three professional teams and as many sites they were feeling overwhelmed with their digital presence.
They approached us looking for a full-service agency that could provide guidance around bringing together their multiple sites into one cohesive and manageable platform.
Creating a strong visual identity
We went for a strong and bold visual identity, with a colour palette that included all of the team colours.
They wanted to be able to create new imagery in-house, so we made sure they could do this without coming back to us.
Using a simple colour overlay meant that their in-house content editors could easily roll out new imagery for the site and social media and keep the overall design looking sharp.
Making it easy to find out what's on, when
We had to make it easy for all ages of cricket fans to access all the match day information, fixtures and events.
To do this, we created landing page hubs so users could find different information in different ways.
Whether visitors were looking for information on any of the primary teams, working out competition dates for local teams or booking tickets, all pathways were considered and streamlined.
Over the next four years, we will be focusing on continuing to improve and expand on the site’s functionality and usability, keeping up with current technologies and reflecting the needs of visitors on the site.
