The latest on LinkedIn – Showcase pages
Is your business using LinkedIn? You may be interested to know that the business-oriented social networking site has recently rolled out changes to their Company pages, removing the product and services tabs and implementing Showcase Pages.
What does that mean? Basically, if you have a business with various brands, business units, or projects then you can add Showcase Pages which spotlight these different aspects of your business.
A great example is Microsoft who have a LinkedIn Company Page, and then Showcase Pages for their assorted software packages such as Office and Outlook. This way followers can receive relevant information about just the parts of the business they are interested in.
We periodically run LinkedIn training sessions for our clients, so if you are keen in participating in one of these events, or in having your LinkedIn page updated with a custom Showcase page, give your account manager a call, or drop us an email.
Is Twitter becoming Facebook?
You may have heard that Twitter have also been tinkering with their platform. The recent changes, aimed at providing easier navigation and filtering, may leave you with a sense of Déjà vu due to its distinct similarities to Facebook.
Pinned tweets, customisable header pictures, photo tagging… sound familiar? However some of the changes are fresh and sound useful such as a best tweets feature that increases the size of your more engaging content.
This is especially useful for businesses looking to replicate successful posts in the future as they can quickly examine what has worked well for them.
If you find that the new Twitter profile format has been rolled out to your account and you need the header image updated, let us know and we can help get that sorted for you.
