Background
Based in Silicon Valley, Metro Tech manufactures and exports underground utility detecting instruments. They were looking to outsource their web work offshore, and were particularly keen to work with a firm that had a shared culture, language and was located in a favourable time zone. It was also important that Metro Tech were able to develop a long term business relationship with their developer, and that the web firm fully grasped their business needs and challenges while developing appropriate software solutions within budget and timeframes. The Challenge
Metro Tech wished to develop a web based portal so both their staff and customers could manage the software licensing of their sensing equipment.

The Solution
A web portal was developed with the needs of the two main audiences, with Metro Tech staff able to login to renew client’s licences and customers able to login to view information on the licences they held along with the date created and when licences were due to expire.

Technologies Used
Asp.net 2.0, C Sharp, and the use of 3rd party components allowed for a very rapid deployment.
